She has grown a lot in the almost two years I have known her, and I am excited to see where her path takes her!” When asked why she chose this CTE program, Scarlett shared, “I chose agriculture because growing up, I had always heard great things about the Branford Agricultural program and wanted to experience it myself. I also have a passion for public speaking and love the opportunities this program allows me to have in that area. I have been able to improve my speaking skills during my time in the program!” Scarlett shared about her involvement with FFA: “I am currently serving as the middle school chapter Treasurer, and last year, I served as the chapter Reporter. I have competed on various contest teams such as Prepared Public Speaking, OH Demos, Parliamentary Procedure, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and Food Science. I was 2nd high individual for the state contest in Food Science this year. My team and I also placed 1st at the subdistrict and district level for OCC, so we will be competing for the state title in June!” Upon graduation, Scarlett plans to attend the University of Florida Law School and eventually have her own law firm one day.
