RIVEROAK Technical College (RTC) has signed and returned the Certification and Agreement form to receive funds from the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act.)  The CARES Act established and funded the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) to provide emergency financial aid grants for students to help with expenses incurred due to the disruption of on-campus instruction.  These funds are disbursed to students to assist with food, housing, course materials, technology, healthcare, childcare, or other expenses.  In accordance with the Federal CARES Act, RIVEROAK Technical College’s total HEERF allocation is $269,159, of which $134,580 will be awarded to students as emergency financial aid grants.

Students who meet the following criteria will be eligible to receive these funds:

  • Enrolled as of March 13, 2020 in a Career Certificate program
  • Completed a 2019-2020 FAFSA or eligible to complete
  • Have been financially impacted due to disruption of instruction due to COVID-19

RIVEROAK Technical College has determined there are 139 students who meet the above criteria.  RTC will be dividing $134,580 equally among identified students.  Each student will receive a check in the amount of $968.20 and students will be required to sign the Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CARES Act form to acknowledge receipt of funds.

RIVEROAK Technical College has determined there were 140 students who met the above criteria.  RTC divided $134,580 to identified students. One hundred thirty nine students received a check in the amount of $961.28 and 1 student received a check in the amount of $962.08. Students were required to sign the Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CARES Act form to acknowledge receipt of funds.

Students who met the following criteria were eligible to receive these funds:

  • Enrolled as of September 1, 2021 in a Postsecondary Career Certificate program
  • Completed a 2021-2022 FAFSA or eligible to complete
  • Have been financially impacted due to disruption of instruction due to COVID-19

RIVEROAK Technical College determined there were 158 students who met the above criteria.  RTC divided $115,421.00 among identified students. One hundred forty eight students received a check in the amount of $730.50 while 10 students received a check in the amount of $730.70. Students were required to sign the Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CARES Act form to acknowledge receipt of funds.

RIVEROAK Technical College has determined there were 147 students who met the above criteria.  RTC divided $233,138.00 to identified students. One hundred and six students received a check in the amount of $1585.97 and 41 students received a check in the amount of $1585.98. Students were required to sign the Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CARES Act form to acknowledge receipt of funds.
